Step 4 – See Your Improvement

Welcome to the final Step of the Read Japanese Faster series!

Congratulations on getting this far – you’ll be super glad to know that this is the easiest step of the study process.

It’s also probably the most rewarding, so let’s get started!

Re-read the Article

That’s all there is to this Step! Just make sure you disable the Furigana before you read 🙂

If you’re comfortable with the words and sentences that you highlighted, translated, and reviewed, then you should mostly breeze through the article.

You should find it much easier than the first time!

The great thing about this technique is that there is a good amount of time from when you first read the article until now.

You’ve probably forgotten most of the details in the article by now, so you can read it again with fresh eyes and armed with the knowledge you gained using the Spaced Repetition technique!

Don’t Stop

And that’s all folks! I hope you found some value in this guide to help you read faster.

More importantly, I hope that you will keep it up! Like I’ve mentioned in other posts, the more effort you put in, the more you get out of it.

I recommend that you keep using this technique (or parts of this technique) a few times a month to improve your reading speed.

If you do it consistently, you will notice that not only your reading speed improves, but your general Japanese language skills will improve as well!
